Lord Krishna and Flute

A legend recounts the story of Lord Krishna asking a Bamboo tree for its life. The Bamboo tree loved him and it happily complied to die for his love.

So when Lord Krishna Hollowed and cut the tree, It cried in pain.

Seeing it in agony Lord Krishna created a Flute out of the Bamboo Tree which he carried with him at all times.

The Flute was so dear to him that even his Gopis were jealous of it. It was also symbolic of his eternal love for Radha. Seeing his intense love for the flute the Gopis asked the bamboo as to why Lord Krishna treasured it so much,

The bamboo said
“The secret is that I´m empty inside. And the Lord does whatever he wants with me, whenever he wants with me and however he wants with me”.

So this is complete surrender: where God can do whatever He wants with you, whenever He wants, as He wants.

Here, a beautiful Madhubani Painting depicts a forest scene where Lord Krishna seems to be lost in the trance whilst playing his flute. The world stands still enchanted listening to his music.
This piece of art should be placed such that it is viewable in its full grandeur, neatly framed on a wall or as a space divider.
